Are You Getting the Discount You Deserve?

I received an email last week from a long time user of Hotel & Travel Index. He used print for years, but was less familiar with HotelandTravelindex.com. His question: Do we still include information about discounts for the travel professional? Answer: Absolutely!
HTI includes a variety of discount information for you and your client -- here's how to find it. Go to the city of your choice and select a hotel. Scroll below the GDS codes to "Discounts Offered". There we list 6 categories with money saving potential: AAA, Group, Corporate, Government/Military, Travel Agent and Airline Personnel.
Hotel discounts for the travel agent usually range from 20%-50%. As with any discount, always confirm with the hotel. If we don't list a discount, it's still worth checking -- policies do change.
